Chairside versus lab milling
Choose a workflow around your facility and production needs, then verify the machine configuration.
Begin with the intended workflow
A practice planning same-day restorations and a laboratory planning production can have different needs for staffing, materials, design software, installation, and post-processing. Write down your intended cases before comparing machines.
Use the exact model
ARUM presents A1 cs as a chairside model. Our Package C lists 5X-300 and Package D lists 5X-400. A1 cs is not included in either package. Specifications for one machine should not be used to describe another.
Ask for a complete demonstration
Request a demonstration covering your intended scan, design, CAM preparation, milling, and finishing steps. Confirm which steps require separate software, equipment, staff, or laboratory services.
Compare total setup costs
Include utilities, tooling, licenses, consumables, training, maintenance, and service alongside the purchase price. Obtain model-specific documentation before making a final choice.
